How to Get an Oyster Bay Marriage License

Go to the Town of Oyster Bay Town Clerk's Office at Town Hall North, 54 Audrey Avenue, Oyster Bay, NY 11771. Both partners must appear in person together. Bring a valid photo ID and your birth certificate. If you were married before, you need a certified divorce decree or a death certificate for a prior spouse. The fee is $40. No blood test is needed in New York State.

Oyster Bay Marriage License Communities

The Town of Oyster Bay includes many unincorporated communities and incorporated villages. Unincorporated areas that use the Town Clerk for marriage licenses include Bethpage, East Norwich, Glen Head, Hicksville, Jericho, Locust Grove, Locust Valley, Massapequa, Old Bethpage, Oyster Bay, Plainedge, Plainview, South Farmingdale, Syosset, and Woodbury. If you live in any of these places, the Town Clerk at 54 Audrey Avenue is your office for a marriage license.

Several incorporated villages within the Town of Oyster Bay also use the town's registrar for vital records. These include Brookville, Centre Island, Cove Neck, Lattingtown, Laurel Hollow, Matinecock, Mill Neck, Muttontown, Old Brookville, Oyster Bay Cove, and Upper Brookville. Under DRL Section 14, the town clerk prepares the license and hands it to the couple. After your ceremony, the officiant returns the signed license to the clerk within five days.

Oyster Bay Marriage License Copies

Certified copies of marriage records from Oyster Bay cost $10 from the Town Clerk. You can request one in person with a photo ID or by mail.
